Job description

Mirai is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to drive growth, engagement, and revenue for Scopely's portfolio of games across the MENA region, meeting the players where they are. This role will lead regional marketing efforts, user acquisition strategies, activations, and partnership development while building and mentoring a high-performing local team. You will be instrumental in shaping our local market strategies, expanding our player base, and enhancing community engagement in one of the world's most exciting and fast-growing gaming markets.

Reporting to the CEO, this role is both strategic and hands-on in nature, requiring close collaboration with the Scopely global marketing and publishing teams and regional partners to drive MENA region success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partnerships & Community Engagement

  • Forge strategic partnerships with regional influencers, brands, and media to amplify reach and build deep and active engagement of players in the region
  • Build a strong influencer/creator marketing ecosystem in the MENA region in collaboration with Scopely's global center of excellence
  • Collaborate with regional platform partners to unlock local opportunities, while aligning with Scopely's global strategy
  • Collaborate with internal studios and external partners to create impactful in-game and out-of-game activations, including localized events
  • Drive community growth through live service marketing and "always-on" ecosystem strategies

Marketing & Brand Strategy

  • Develop and execute localized brand, marketing, and creative strategies aligned with global brand goals
  • Support Scopley global launches through regional activations from pre-launch through live service, ensuring cohesive brand messaging and MENA player engagement
  • Advocate for MENA region localization and culturalization through market analysis, business justification, regional insights, and partnership opportunities
  • Analyze market trends, player motivations, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing local marketing and UA team
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous learning
  • Serve as a regional expert and advocate, aligning local execution with global priorities
  • Act a key senior Studio leader, working closely with the CEO and Head of Studio Operations to foster a world class workplace and engaging studio culture

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, community building, and/or brand strategy in gaming (entertainment may be considered)
  • Deep understanding of the MENA gaming market and cultural nuances
  • Proven success in managing large-scale community building, partnership and marketing activations in the MENA region
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external agencies
  • Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage
  • Experience with MMPs and platforms like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, etc
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Process driven with strong structured delivery experience
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a passion for developing talent and building inclusive teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
