Overview

Reports to: Commercial Director – Administration & Reporting

Objective / Purpose

The Data Analyst – Commercial Reporting (Director) provides advanced analytics and reporting capabilities to support the Commercial Director in overseeing Delivery Partner, PMC, and SME contracts. This role consolidates commercial data across Business Units and delivery partners, enabling early detection of deviations from approved budgets and KPIs. The position equips senior management with reliable insights to make informed decisions, improving efficiency, cost control, and delivery reputation.

Technical Responsibilities
  1. Consolidate and analyze commercial data across Business Units and Delivery Partners to identify variances and trends.
  2. Lead the design of dashboards and reporting systems to monitor commercial KPIs at portfolio and program level.
  3. Provide scenario analysis to identify early risks and opportunities related to cost and schedule.
  4. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency of all commercial data submissions across the SDU.
  5. Prepare detailed reports to feed into the Central Delivery Unit (CDU) dashboards and senior management presentations.
  6. Liaise with Finance, Risk, and Procurement to ensure data integrity across systems.
  7. Conduct root-cause analysis of deviations in budgets, EOT claims, or KPIs.
  8. Benchmark reporting methodologies against giga-project best practices in the GCC.
  9. Supervise and mentor commercial analysts within the Central Delivery Performance Office.
  10. Act as the technical point of contact for commercial data analytics with senior leadership.
Stakeholders

Internal Stakeholders

  • Commercial Director – Administration & Reporting (SDU): Direct reporting line and primary stakeholder (weekly/bi-weekly).
  • SDU – Delivery Partnerships Lead: Alignment for portfolio-level insights (monthly/quarterly).
  • Business Units (Sports, Entertainment, Hospitality, Retail, etc.): Provide cost and KPI data inputs (monthly).
  • Central Procurement & Finance: Data validation and policy compliance (monthly).
  • Central Delivery Unit (CDU): Alignment and contribution to enterprise dashboards (monthly/quarterly).

External Stakeholders

  • Delivery Partners (Mace, Parsons, Jasara, etc.): Submission and validation of commercial data (weekly/monthly).
  • PMCs & SMEs: Support data consolidation for SDU-managed contracts (monthly).
  • Auditors / External Advisors: Independent validation of financial/commercial data (as required).
Qualifications
  • Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience: 12–15 years in commercial analytics, cost control, or reporting within large-scale infrastructure or real estate projects in GCC.
  • Licenses / Certifications: RICS, CIPS, PMP, or equivalent desirable.
  • Skills: Strong data analytics and visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Primavera Analytics); advanced Excel; ability to synthesize commercial data into executive-level reports.
