Are you a visionary leader with deep experience in theme parks, water parks, or entertainment attractions? ProFun is seeking a Director - Attractions Operations Advisory to drive the success of our clients’ world-class entertainment projects in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will collaborate with global teams, advise clients, and oversee attractions operations advisory scopes for some of the most exciting attraction developments in Saudi Arabia.


About the Role

As a Director at ProFun, you will take charge of high-profile projects in Saudi Arabia, working alongside dynamic teams in Riyadh and Los Angeles. You will partner with major developers and operators to shape operational strategies, optimize park operations, and oversee the operations planning and execution of world-class theme parks and attractions. This role requires strategic leadership, industry expertise, and hands-on project execution to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest industry standards.


What You’ll Do

Operational Consulting & Advisory

  • Participate in design and planning sessions, reviewing concepts and ensuring alignment with operational feasibility and guest experience objectives.
  • Leverage industry expertise to advise on best practices in attraction design, operational flows, capacity planning, and safety standards.
  • Contribute to the development of business plans and operational strategies for new or existing attractions.
  • Offer insights on current industry trends and benchmarks to shape and refine project strategies.

Project Leadership and Client Management

In some cases, Directors will be required to lead projects. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of multiple consulting projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards.
  • Identify potential challenges and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing and nurturing strong relationships based on trust, transparency, and continuous communication.
  • Translate client objectives into actionable plans, aligning project deliverables with the client’s strategic vision.
  • Provide regular updates, presentations, and reports to clients and internal stakeholders.

People Management and Development

  • Mentor, guide, and provide constructive feedback to colleagues, helping them develop professionally.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the project team and across the organization.
  • Support recruitment efforts by identifying and attracting top industry talent.

Financial Oversight

  • Monitor project budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation, taking corrective measures as needed.
  • Contribute to contract negotiations, subcontractor management, and other commercial activities that impact project and company profitability.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Industry Experience

  • Senior leadership experience (Director, General Manager, or above) at an operating attraction is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. MBA or a degree in project management or similar is a plus.
  • 10-15 years of progressive operations experience in the attractions industry — theme parks, water parks, museums, or similar visitor experiences.

Project & Leadership Skills

  • Proven success managing large-scale projects from concept to execution.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and direct cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in client engagement, contract negotiation, and stakeholder management.

Technical & Industry Knowledge

  • Familiarity with attraction design, guest flow optimization, ride operations, and business planning.
  • Knowledge of international safety regulations (ASTM F24 and/or EN 13814) and industry best practices.
  • Experience working in international markets (Middle East experience is a plus).

Language Skills

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.
