Direct Custody and Clearing Operations Associate

Job Description

An exciting opportunity to work as a Custody Operations specialist with proven local securities market experience, supporting the implementation of new initiatives. This role offers the chance to develop people management skills and potentially lead the operations team responsible for ongoing business support.

As a Direct Custody and Clearing Operations Associate within the Operations team, you will be an innovative team member with the skills and experience to instigate change and ensure an efficient, controlled operating model. Your responsibilities will include defining and managing the operating model, determining technology requirements, and establishing business processes to support new business initiatives, all while maintaining a robust control environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide processing support for effective and efficient delivery of Custody Trade Operations.
• Support processing across different instruments like Equity, G-sec, and Corporate Bonds for settlement and regulatory reporting.
• Execute error-free operations, identify, and escalate exceptions across processes including pre-trade activity, trade capture, affirmation, brokerage, and settlement.
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging.
• Provide first-level supervision in managing daily business deliverables and responding promptly to client inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including market participants.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Qualified CMA certification is essential.
• Minimum of 1 year of trade settlement and custody experience in KSA.
• Good understanding of KSA Tadawul systems and operating knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize workloads effectively and meet critical deadlines.
• High levels of integrity, operating with honesty and transparency.
• Proficiency in MS-Office, especially MS-Excel.

• Degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
