Job description

The driving force behind our success has always been the people of AspenTech. What drives us is our aspiration, desire, and ambition to keep pushing the envelope, overcoming hurdles, and challenging the status quo to find better solutions. You will experience these qualities of passion, pride, and aspiration through career development programs, community service projects, and social events that foster fun and relationship building across our global community.

The Role

AspenTech's Digital Grid Management's Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) is a rapidly growing area of Emerson Electric that enables electric distribution utilities to monitor, manage, control, and optimize the grid. You will leverage your experience with distribution and transmission operations, ADMS systems, and business processes to lead and advise utility clients through all aspects of implementing our ADMS solutions. As a trusted advisor, you will engage with all levels of the utility, from field crews to executive management. You will collaborate with AspenTech teams including ADMS Application Engineers, Architecture and Product Solution teams, and Software Development. Your insights will influence the future direction of ADMS products and serve as a 'voice for the utility' within AspenTech. This role reports to the Manager, ADMS Project Consulting.

Your Impact
  • Lead business process reviews for electric distribution utility clients to understand current ('As-Is') and desired ('To-Be') process mappings.
  • Analyze contractual requirements for ADMS projects to identify potential concerns.
  • Apply knowledge of distribution or transmission system operations to provide insights, guidance, and recommendations to clients, project teams, and product development.
  • Promote the importance of project change management to build knowledge and support within ADMS projects.
  • Support ADMS project implementation teams through analysis, design, and testing as needed.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5+ years of operational experience or project implementation, preferably in the utility industry.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Experience in utility operations, engineering support, or electrical utility control systems (SCADA, EMS, GMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS).
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
