ROLE OVERVIEW

This role requires applying forensic accounting, technology & data skills to investigate financial discrepancies and inaccuracies such as fraudulent activity, financial misrepresentation, or misconduct and disputes. The role involves managing and overseeing investigations requiring forensic accounting expertise, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of investigations with data-led solutions, and supporting the development and implementation of technology solutions to automate investigations and provide analytical support to the SpeakUp team.

The Forensic Manager will act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all systems, technology, data, and financial matters pertaining to Speak-Ups and will support whistleblowers while advocating for lasting change based on SpeakUp investigations.

SUMMARISED REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive investigation experience (7+ years) in forensic accounting, legal, audit, or a related field; OR a relevant college degree with demonstrated ability
  • Strong skills in forensic accounting, including financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in technology and data analytics, with experience in relevant software and systems.
  • Proven ability to conduct complex investigations, gather evidence and ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in team management, coaching, and development.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle pressure.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES

The Forensics Manager’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Investigations & Forensics

  • Lead and conduct complex investigations into fraud, misconduct, and policy violations.
  • Perform forensic accounting, including data extraction and analysis of financial records to trace funds, identify assets, and assess financial impacts.
  • Prepare detailed investigative and forensic reports with explicit legal and financial insights.
  • Conduct interviews to uncover and verify facts, ensuring thorough evidence gathering.
  • Ensure investigations are aligned with NEOM policies, legal standards, and ethical frameworks.

Technology & Data-Driven Solutions

  • Lead the integration of technology and data analytics into investigation processes to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Pioneer and deliver innovative digital solutions using emerging technologies (e.g., AI, automation) for the Speak-Up program.
  • Maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to monitor Speak-Up activities, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs.
  • Collaborate with IT, CISO, GRC, and OCI to develop and implement continuous improvement strategies for investigative technologies.

Governance, Compliance & Program Management

  • Support the governance and strategic direction of the Speak-Up program, ensuring policy compliance and ethical operations.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and communications, including responses to allegations and concerns.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing policies for whistleblower protection and support.
  • Ensure proper documentation, legal compliance, and operational standards across the program.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance guidance to team members, including managers and junior staff.
  • Conduct real-time reviews and feedback on team deliverables, ensuring adherence to best practices and high standards.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, upskilling, and digital fluency across the OCI team.
  • Shape new ways of working, foster change, and enhance investigative services’ overall quality and value.

Strategic Impact & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing insights and advocating for improvements based on investigative findings.
  • Drive cultural transformation across Lines of Defense through collaboration, transparency, and data-informed interventions.
  • Actively support NEOM’s mission by modeling core values, enhancing the Speak-Up function’s reputation, and contributing to enterprise-wide risk mitigation strategies.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 7+ years of recent and relevant investigation experience (with references).
  • OR college graduate with an emphasis in forensic accounting, legal, audit, governance, risk and compliance, or related field, and the ability to successfully complete/pass job-related assessments.
  • 5+ years of recent and relevant investigation experience
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with specific software and web-based systems, such as whistleblowing, report writing, and case management.
  • Data Analytics and how these can be applied to resolve business challenges effectively.
  • Demonstrate awareness and appropriate application of existing and emerging digital technologies, capabilities, practices, and strategies.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.

  • Experience managing resources (including co-source) to deliver to budget and quality.
