Job Title: Dialysis Nurse Unit Manager

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the same field and position as Dialysis Nurse Unit Manager.
  2. Managerial skills with a diploma or Master's degree in a related field.
  3. Experience with Dataflow is required.
  4. Saudi license holder is a plus.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and maintain the dialysis policy and procedure manual.
  2. Maintain competencies and skills checklists for dialysis staff.
  3. Monitor and ensure proper maintenance of dialysis machines.
  4. Evaluate the performance of dialysis staff.
  5. Provide orientation to new dialysis staff members.
  6. Ensure easy access to dialysis services by maintaining the physician order and contact system through the staffing office.
  7. Maintain appropriate supply levels of specialized dialysis products.
  8. Ensure comprehensive, quality care for patients on dialysis.
  9. Perform surveillance and testing of dialysis water treatment equipment and water quality (chlorine, hardness, conductivity, water cultures) to ensure proper operation within protocols.
  10. Organize and implement educational programs and development opportunities for staff.
  11. Participate in the administration of unit policies and procedures, ensuring all End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) requirements are met.
  12. Represent the organization professionally.
  13. Support and maintain a team, delegating responsibilities to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of patients and families.
  14. Serve as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
  15. Ensure patients' rights to appropriate therapy.
  16. Interpret and execute doctors’ orders, ensuring patients are treated with dignity and respect, considering individual needs.
