ROLE OVERVIEW
The Development Project Manager will oversee and manage a variety design disciplines of the LINE. And will be responsible for coordinating all phases of the project, from initial design through to project completion, ensuring that all work meets quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines. The Development Project Manager will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects.
REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY
The Role requires the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Good knowledge of concept design through to construction documentation.
- Ability to drive consulting teams to deliver design outcomes that are world class, commercial and ultimately constructable.
- Use industry specific knowledge to bring forward issues and ensure that design develops in a way that avoids the need to redesign.
- The ability to utilise rational judgement to problem-solve and make effective decisions in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands on time and undertake design and development related tasks in parallel.
- Ability to build professional relationships and trust, with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders alike, use interpersonal skills to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prepare briefing documents for procurement and manage contracts with consultants and suppliers.
- This position requires total commitment and flexibility to achieve strategic targets that may require working additional hours.

ROLE ACTIVITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project Management
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of design and construction documents.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage resources, staffing, and logistics to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including consultants and internal teams.
Design Coordination
- Work with architects, engineers, and design teams to review and finalize design concepts.
- Ensure that design plans meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and budget constraints.
- Review and improve architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) designs.
Budget and Cost Management
- Work alongside cost management team to develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and expenditures are tracked.
- Identify potential cost overruns early and implement corrective actions to keep the project within budget.
- Approve and manage project change orders, as necessary.
Quality Control and Risk Management
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure design work meets all required standards.
- Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
- Ensure all required inspections and tests are completed and documented.
Communication and Reporting
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management and clients.
- Coordinate meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project progress, risks, and changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all project-related activities, including contracts, permits, and correspondence.

COMPETENCIES
The job requires the following competencies:
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written) and a good command of English and ability to prepare a presentations, briefings and reports tailored to the audience’s needs, speak convincingly to groups of stakeholder or project participants.
- Be proactive and self-starting, collaborative and work well within a team under pressure.
- Ability to manage project meetings and workshops.
- Fully computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project, document management software and a good knowledge of EstateMaster, Aconex, Revisto and Power BI is desirable.
- Full understanding of empirical project control functions and tools: scheduling, measurement, risk and value assessment and how to apply them to measure project activities and outputs.
- Familiarity with reporting and governance processes, ideally in a government enterprise.
- Ability to work with transparency and accountability in all interactions.
- Ability to utilize data analytics to draw conclusions and make recommendations and decisions.
