Job Purpose:
Managing the operations and activities of the Destination Management Office, developing the destination, contributing to the promotion of Historic Jeddah as a leading tourist destination, activating community programs for the local population, establishing strategic partnerships with both public and private sectors, developing experiences and events, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop the operational plans of the department in alignment with the general directorate’s work plan and objectives, identifying the annual budget, workforce needs, and required projects to achieve these plans.
• Establish appropriate policies and procedures for the department and periodically monitor their application and effectiveness.
• Supervise activities related to the destination strategy implementation and contribute to promoting Historic Jeddah as a leading tourism destination, activating community programs, building strategic partnerships with the public and private sectors, and enhancing experiences and events.
• Oversee all visitor experience operations and services including organizing guided tours, developing promotional materials, and providing logistical support to ensure a distinguished experience before and during the visit.
• Supervise the operation of visitor centers, information desks, and reception teams, and monitor the performance of tour guides and ticketing staff to ensure high-quality hospitality services.
• Lead the design and preparation of annual event plans of all types, enhancing the visitor experience and aligning with the program's strategic direction.
• Supervise the execution of events, coordinate with relevant authorities and vendors to ensure the highest safety and organizational standards, site readiness, and visitor satisfaction.
• Lead the activation of community and cultural initiatives that revitalize the area through strategic partnerships with public and private entities.
• Supervise the design and implementation of volunteer community engagement initiatives that involve local residents and foster belonging and community interaction.
• Manage partnerships with local and international stakeholders and sponsors, and activate communication channels that support joint project implementation and institutional integration.
• Oversee promotional and media campaigns that showcase the destination and local community, strengthening program and area visibility.
• Monitor KPIs for programs, events, and services; analyze results and submit recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage initiatives and projects related to the department, tracking performance and progress.
• Prepare periodic reports for the General Supervisor on performance and achievements compared to the plan and operational indicators.
