Alfanar Electric

Alfanar Electric is the industrial arm of Alfanar, manufacturing a variety of low, medium, and high voltage electrical construction products.

Industrial Complex, Riyadh

The center of Alfanar’s industrial activities is the Alfanar Industrial Complex in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.

Spread across 700,000 square meters, the complex houses Alfanar’s facilities and has comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center and a commercial zone.

Job Purpose

This position exists to perform product designing, prototyping, and testing activities efficiently, in a timely manner, and according to quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.

Key Accountability Areas
Product Development and Design:
  • Concept development of components, new products, and improvements in existing components or products.
  • Prepare project charter and product development plan.
  • Detailed 3D modeling and 2D drawings in SAP ECTR, BOM creation, tolerance stack-up analysis, and ensuring design outputs meet design inputs.
  • Prepare proto assembly, display boards, and functional demo samples according to design requirements.
  • Release models and drawings for manufacturing in-house components and bought-out (B/O) items.
Manufacturing and Prototyping:
  • Check manufacturing feasibility, considering mold design and progressive die layout.
  • Proto assembly and field trials (if applicable).
  • Monitor new product assembly trials and provide production support during NPD pilot lot production.
  • Conduct preliminary tests on prototypes and finished products.
  • Pilot lot production and assembly trial reports.
Documentation and Compliance:
  • Prepare and maintain documents as per NPD stage gate deliverables and ensure records are kept in designated locations.
  • Life cycle management of all existing products, change management, and associated actions.
Material and Inventory Management:
  • Organize materials in the design storage location, including tested samples, competitor samples, and trial samples.
  • Arrange material from production/stores; facilitate inventory counting and scrapping of materials.
Packaging and Release:
  • Develop product packaging, including product packing, leaflets, and catalogues.

Academic Qualification

Diploma in Design or relevant field.
