The Design Manager for THE LINE Design team will oversee the creation of neighborhood master plans and architectural designs for various asset types within THE LINE Neighborhoods. The Senior Design Manager will manage a neighborhood architectural design consultant and be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and ensuring the design work aligns with NEOM's THE LINE Plan of Work, scope of services, schedule, quality, and budget. The role involves driving quality assurance and compliance, in collaboration with Design Directors and the client team. The design scope includes approximately 500,000 m² of assets.


Reporting to: Senior Design Manager, THE LINE


Responsibilities:


  • Guide designers, review designs, and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Facilitate design coordination and review meetings.
  • Manage design aspects including core real estate assets, façade, sustainability, and public realm design.
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with design requirements and KPIs.
  • Manage design review comments, responses, and close-out processes.
  • Coordinate interfaces with the city, neighborhoods, and anchor assets.
  • Ensure design aligns with development programs and asset briefs.
  • Act as gatekeeper for architectural quality during reviews.
  • Support stakeholder engagement internally and externally.

Accountabilities:


  • Coordinate neighborhood-level design management.
  • Ensure creative and technical quality of designs.
  • Collaborate with cost consultants to meet budget targets.
  • Maintain design registers, risk registers, and reports.

Role Competencies & Activities:


  • Deliver THE LINE architecture, managing stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage design from concept to completion across various typologies.
  • Supervise visualization and detailed design production.
  • Review and analyze architectural designs, providing recommendations.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
  • Lead technical reviews, problem-solving, and design standardization.
  • Build team consensus and motivate team members.
