ROLE OVERVIEW

The Design Manager will oversee the full spectrum of architecture design for different asset types relating to THE LINE. Manage the full spectrum of architecture design for different asset types across THE LINE. Serves as a capable professional in an architectural design team, leading work on specific elements of a project with minimal direction and supervision of a Senior Architect or senior team member.

Key accountabilities

• Responsible for the design quality and coordination of design between different design streams
• Manages compliance with masterplan, vision and engineering integration
• Manages Safety in Design
• Liaison with delivery teams, integration of designs

Role and responsibilities

• Assist in developing NEOM architecture design style
• Managing the design by creative approach and aesthetic design
• Responsible to deliver various architectural design types: residential, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, etc.
• Strong ability to prepare, develop and edit drawings and presentations
• Qualitative architectural design review, comment, and recommendation
• Draft comprehensive architectural sets from concept until detailed design documents
• Develop and review architectural asset briefs
• Prepare SoW, specifications, reports and related data tables.
• Take initiative to develop design manuals, standard design documents
• Technical detailing and construction administration experience
• Research on new technologies and trends
• Produce deliverables in accordance with NEOM standards and policies.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

7+ years post undergraduate of outstanding architectural design and management experience Design experience in various architectural types: residential, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, etc. Experience in Middle East is highly appreciated Understanding of scope definition and scope interface and ability to transmit the same to others. Knowledge of international standards, policies, codes and procedures and ability to transmit the same to others. Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements, Knowledge of codes, regulations and submission requirements. Developed knowledge of Sustainable Design principles. Outstanding creative, design skills Out of the box thinking and seeing the big picture Excellent conceptual and design skills, with emphasis on aesthetics Creative thinking and visioning and innovation Fluent in writing and speaking English, spoken and written Proactive, reliable, accountable, consistent, independent, clever, nice, generous Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Flexibility and attitude towards company objectives. Cordial relationships with clients and stakeholders. Commitment to innovation and design excellence Outstanding presentation skills. The ability to convey a clear project narrative and conceptual ideas to both internal and external stakeholders Excellent ability in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite; Grasshopper, V-Ray, any other illustrative technologies Effective use of electronic processes and procedures to increase quality and efficiency Solid knowledge of products, materials, zoning / building codes and construction methods Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines on budget and on time A keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative in response to direction from project managers, directors and partners A team player, with a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and collaborating Qualifications B.Arch or BSc. in Architecture from a recognized university Postgraduate In Architecture International Accreditations (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP, or equivalent)
