We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Customer Solutions - Design specialist who will perform transactional, high-volume tasks and provide engineering documentation. The CSE Solution - Design is responsible for high-quality documentation, executing reviews, and approval processes. This work is driven by quality and measured via service-level agreements. The role may involve developing specializations, such as layouts of standard products, minor local modifications, conducting after-certification site surveys, or becoming a user of IT tools like CAD, BIM, or engineering workflow tools within CSE.


What will you do?


  • Review IFC / Architectural & structural drawings and implement them in shop or tender drawings.
  • Review inputs for shop drawing preparation.
  • Localize 2D shop and tender drawings for elevators, escalators, travelators, and third-party elevators.
  • Revise shop drawings based on customer comments.
  • Prepare local material drawings, such as dividing beams, lifting hook beams, and site modification sketches.
  • Prepare finishes drawings for cabins, car operating panels, landing signalization, architraves, etc.
  • Prepare builder’s layouts for construction coordination.
  • Prepare installation drawings for the site team after ordering materials.
  • Prepare as-built drawings and red-line markings based on customer requirements.
  • Resolve site issues related to engineering and drawings.
  • Participate in customer meetings as a CSE representative, understand customer needs, and impact specifications via Teams calls.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering policies, local codes, and EN standards.
  • Provide high-quality outputs to stakeholders.
  • Manage workload effectively within the team based on priorities.
  • Represent KONE as one team towards the customer, fostering positive behavior.

Are you the one?


  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Have 5+ years of industrial experience in high-rise engineering.
  • Possess 2-3 years of experience in design and drafting.
  • Prefer candidates from the elevator industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (latest versions) at an expert level.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with global colleagues across different time zones and cultures.
  • Excellent technical understanding of elevators, escalators, and moving walks.
  • Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an asset.
