As the Design Director - Hotels at Qiddiya Investment Company, you will be instrumental in shaping the designs of luxury hotel projects that embody unique lifestyles and experiences within the vibrant destination of Qiddiya. You will lead a dynamic team of designers and collaborate with various stakeholders to craft innovative and engaging hotel environments that enhance guest experiences and reflect the architectural vision of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the creative design process for hotel projects, ensuring that design concepts align with Qiddiya's vision and target market.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and planners to create seamless integration of architectural and interior design elements.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including mood boards, presentations, and specifications, to convey design intentions to stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure design implementation meets quality standards and project timelines.
• Engage with hotel operators and management teams to develop designs that meet operational needs and guest expectations.
• Lead design charrettes and workshops to stimulate creative thinking and gather feedback from diverse teams.
• Monitor industry trends and innovations in hotel design, incorporating relevant elements into projects.
• Mentor and guide junior design team members, promoting professional development and a collaborative design culture.
• Manage relationships with external consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• At least 12-15 years of relevant experience in hotel design, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior design leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering high-end hotel projects from concept through execution.
• Strong understanding of hospitality design principles, including guest experience, functionality, and operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of local codes, regulations, and sustainability practices relevant to hotel design.
• Exceptional creative vision and the ability to articulate design ideas clearly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in design software and tools, with an ability to create visually compelling presentations.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on nurturing talent and fostering a collaborative team environment.
