Job Description

The Deployment Engineer role will be part of multi-disciplined project teams to design and deliver voice and data systems. These systems may be used directly by customers or by Motorola Solutions to provide Managed Services. The Deployment Engineer will work in the post-sales phase and may support multiple projects simultaneously, depending on size and complexity.

The role can operate at different levels within the organization or projects. The specific level will depend on the project's size and complexity, as well as the individual's experience.

Main duties :

• Perform end-to-end deployment IP planning and develop communication and services to meet customer, end-user, and operator requirements.
• Manage all customer-facing technical aspects from conceptual phases through to system implementation.
• Coordinate communication between internal engineering teams and customers.
• Create system documentation and equipment lists using relevant tools and processes.
• Present technical solutions and services to customers, project teams, and management.
• Collaborate with project managers to track progress, decisions, and changes.

The scope includes activities such as validating client needs against pre-sales design, performing detailed design reviews, and ensuring systems meet quality and security standards.

Knowledge and Skills :

• Maintain excellent knowledge of IP & Transmission design, Motorola’s public safety solutions, and industry trends.
• Share knowledge proactively and support colleagues' development.
• Generate technical documentation adhering to quality standards.
• Work with product groups and third parties to ensure equipment availability.
• Provide technical support during deployment, detect deviations, and resolve issues promptly.
• Develop and execute test strategies to ensure solutions meet requirements.

Basic Requirements

• Graduate in telecommunications, Computers, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• Proven results demonstrating technical understanding.
• Additional IT qualifications like CCNA, EX200 are advantageous.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Skills :

• IP & Transmission design and implementation.
• Secure remote access solutions (IPsec, SSL, VPN).
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).
• Windows and Linux OS administration.
• Experience with complex project integration.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Desirable Skills :

• Knowledge of communication standards like MCPTT and LMR.
• Understanding of LTE and container virtualization (Docker).
• Familiarity with OSS/BSS applications like CRM and network management tools.
