Demi Chef de Partie


Your Day-to-Day:


  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to hotel standards and recipes
  • Ensure proper portioning, seasoning, and presentation of all food items
  • Support plating and ensure dishes meet the hotel’s aesthetic standards
  • Conduct regular tasting to ensure quality and consistency
  • Adjust recipes or preparation methods as needed to maintain standards
  • Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and visual presentation
  • Coordinate daily with chefs, kitchen assistants, and stewards for smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist in mentoring and training junior kitchen staff and apprentices
  • Communicate effectively to ensure kitchen efficiency and timely service
  • Participate in live cooking stations or special events
  • Engage with guests and gather feedback when applicable
  • Maintain accurate records of recipes, inventory, and production schedules
  • Ensure adherence to all hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Follow HACCP guidelines and company policies
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment at the end of each shift
  • Organize supplies and prepare for the next day’s operations
  • Review feedback and adjust plans accordingly

Qualifications:


  • Culinary Certificate or Diploma from a recognized culinary school or hospitality institute.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel or fine dining environment.
