Qualifications:
- HACCP: Full compliance with HACCP standards and certification.
- Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, with 3-4 years of experience in 4-5 star hotels.
Job Description:
- Maintain standards as per the Departmental Operations Manual to ensure efficient department operation in line with hotel policies.
- Provide high standards of food preparation and presentation to meet guest expectations.
- Assist in establishing the outlet's identity through appropriate food presentation standards.
- Follow standard recipes and preparation methods for all menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all work areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
- Coordinate with colleagues on operational issues.
- Operate kitchen equipment correctly to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Participate in scheduled meetings and briefings.
- Adhere to safety, emergency, and fire prevention procedures.
- Implement food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP and municipal regulations.
- Work closely with the Hygiene Officer on safety procedures.
- Participate in training programs to improve departmental standards.
- Respond to industry, company, or hotel changes in food and beverage operations.
- Report punctually in proper uniform with high personal hygiene standards.
- Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
- Maintain good relationships with colleagues and other departments.
- Read and adhere to the hotel's Employee Handbook, policies, and procedures related to fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
- Comply with local legislation as required.
- Be flexible and willing to undertake additional duties or redeployments as needed.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as scheduled.
