Job Description:
The Delivery Coordinator plays a critical role as gatekeeper and final reviewer of every delivery to ensure our drivers have the necessary information to make a safe delivery and that the needs of our customer have been met. Although some time will be spent physically helping with deliveries, time will also be spent within the system tracking and looking up item availability for deliveries. To be successful, the associate must maintain strong customer, colleague, and vendor relationships, and have a strong knowledge of safety protocols and proper delivery procedures. Self-motivated without supervision, with great attention to detail, and willing to go above and beyond what is asked.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide support in pick-up and delivery of products according to customer orders
• Plan and coordinate product delivery activities to ensure accurate and timely deliveries to customers
• Contact customers to confirm delivery date and address and solving problems
• Respond to delivery related inquiries and concerns from customers.
• Schedule deliveries and prepare delivery documentations
• Track the status of product deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Provide outstanding services and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Observes that the vehicle is detailed, full of fuel, has all requested equipment accessories installed and is in delivery area ready for customer.
• Arrange a schedule for vehicles cycle maintenance in accordance with vehicles maintenance coordinator.
• Works closely with department managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Observes all state, local and company safety rules and regulation.
• Monitor performance standards and targets to provide a consistently high level of service to the business and our customers.
Requirements:
• 1 to 2 years relevant experience in supply chain related field (Transport, logistics, international freight, supply chain, operation)
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to details, accuracy, efficiency and meeting tight deadlines.
• Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to work both independently, as well as part of a team.
• Ability to function in a fast moving environment
• Punctuality
• Ability to work in pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent Arabic & English language.
