Database Developer

Responsibilities

1. Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures
2. Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes in line with leading practices
3. Establish working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders
4. Collect feedback from internal stakeholders on issues being faced and other requirements
5. Contribute to the preparation of progress reports directed to all relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of progress
6. Keep abreast of the latest updates and best practices in the DBM industry to suggest new database products, services, standards, and guidelines
7. Participate in workshops with concerned functions to align on storage procedures and relevant database guidelines and standards
8. Assist in database design and development of related data models as needed through supporting in schema design, code review, and query tuning
9. Collect database requirements and accordingly develop/update database structure design and design considerations
10. Write and deploy complex codes to support in building databases or data management systems as needed in line with design components and relevant guidelines and standards
11. Develop database objects (i.e., tables) in line with pre-identified requirements and expectations, and import data into tables as needed
12. Assist in writing efficient and optimized queries to extract different tables or data sets from databases
13. Support in creating automation for repeating database tasks and automating live data extraction
14. Fix issues and bugs to solve database usage issues and malfunctions as needed to enable and/or optimize performance and functionality
15. Develop and update technical and training manuals to support users

Requirements

1. 0 to 2 years of experience in a Programming field
2. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent is required
