Job description

Location: Riyadh, KSA.

Years of Experience: 7+ years of experience in data with focus on data management, data governance, data privacy and protection.

Project Duration: 1 year.

Working Arrangement: on-site.

Language Requirements: Fluency in English (written and spoken).

We are looking for a Data Privacy & Protection Senior Consultant to support the implementation of data privacy and governance frameworks during a 1-year engagement. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of experiencein data, with a focus on data management, data governance, and data privacy & protection, with a solid understanding of data classification, flow mapping, and privacy assessments. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local and international data protection regulations and embed best practices across the organization.

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in data management, with a specific focus on data governance, privacy, and protection.
  • Experience in conducting data flow mapping, data classification, and implementing privacy compliance frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy impact assessments (PIA/DPIA) and transfer impact assessments.
  • Familiarity with data lifecycle management, access controls, and risk mitigation techniques.
  • Understanding of local and international privacy laws and regulations (e.g., PDPL, GDPR, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as:
    • CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional)
    • CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist)
    • CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)
    • Or equivalent credentials in privacy, data governance, or compliance.
Other Qualifications

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Privacy & Protection Support
  • Assist in implementing privacy frameworks and data governance policies across departments.
  • Support the execution of data flow mapping, classification, and inventory activities.
  • Participate in developing and updating privacy policies and procedures in line with regulations.
  • Risk & Compliance Monitoring
  • Conduct and document privacy impact assessments (PIA/DPIA) and transfer impact assessments.
  • Support internal teams in identifying and mitigating privacy risks.
  • Monitor data handling practices and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain detailed records of data processing activities and support audit readiness.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and compliance functions.
  • Assist in drafting data protection notices, consents, and breach response plans.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with legal, compliance, IT, and business teams to ensure privacy by design.
  • Support training and awareness initiatives related to data privacy and protection.
  • Serve as a point of contact for privacy-related queries and escalations.
