Job description

• Assess current privacy and data handling practices to identify gaps and risks.
• Advise on and implement compliance strategies for regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or other relevant laws.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
• Develop and maintain privacy policies, data retention schedules, and consent mechanisms.
• Collaborate with legal, security, marketing, HR, and IT teams to ensure data handling aligns with privacy requirements.
• Assist in managing data subject requests (DSRs), including access, correction, and deletion requests.
• Train staff on privacy best practices, data handling, and compliance requirements.
• Support incident response efforts, including data breach investigations and reporting.
• Monitor updates in privacy laws and regulations to keep internal policies current.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in data privacy, data protection, or compliance roles.
• In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, HIPAA).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to analyze complex legal requirements and translate them into actionable policies.
