Responsibilities:- Evaluate current data governance practices and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and standards
- Define data ownership and stewardship roles and responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance workflows and processes
- Conduct data quality assessments and define metrics and KPIs to monitor data quality
- Design and implement data governance training programs to raise awareness and promote adherence to data governance practices
- Develop and maintain data catalogues and metadata repositories
- Identify data security and privacy risks and implement appropriate controls
- Monitor and enforce data governance policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data governance
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Governance Consultant or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and methodologies
- Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies
- Knowledge of data quality management practices and metrics
- Familiarity with data catalogues and metadata management tools
- Understanding of data security and privacy regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus
