Data Center Shift Leader

JOB PURPOSE:

The role holder supervises and leads the shift, ensuring that operational activities and jobs are assigned to on-duty systems operators. They oversee critical operational tasks as per the task list, ensuring timely and error-free execution. The role involves monitoring applications related to operational processing, reporting exceptions immediately, and alerting support staff and management to technical failures or incidents. All incidents are logged in the help desk, and shift leader reports are submitted, highlighting pending operational activities. The role also includes handing over responsibilities and ensuring the next shift leader understands all pending tasks.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

The supervisor/leader is responsible for:

• Supervising and leading the shift.
• Possessing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a related field.
• Having 5 to 6 years of experience in IT computer operational processing jobs within banking applications, hardware platforms, operating systems, and data operations.
• Maintaining and controlling data center (DC) operations shift schedules, assignments, and executing operational processing jobs.
• Maintaining and controlling physical and environmental aspects of the data center.
• Controlling DC fixed asset and equipment movement, as well as access control workflows.
• Assisting and coordinating BCC switchover and switchback activities as per plan.
• Performing UAT and addressing operational processing jobs automation.
• Performing application and data backup and restore operations.
