We support all AWS data centers, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring continual access to our customers. You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at minimal cost. We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The role involves reviewing data center inventory, managing inbound shipments, and ensuring stock levels support build and repair activities.

If you are interested in maintaining the availability and reliability of our logistics operations to meet or exceed data center service levels, we would like to meet you. Your work will contribute to operating the world’s largest cloud infrastructure.

Key job responsibilities

  • Understand all aspects of production, adhere to safety standards, maintain high quality, and work with powered equipment such as forklifts or cherry pickers.
  • Create plans with the Logistics Manager to optimize parts flow, tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turnover.
  • Collaborate with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts accurately and promptly.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase parts, process RMAs, and receive replacements.
  • Maintain regular communication with vendors to resolve issues and convey business requirements, demonstrating high-level communication skills.
  • Support a 24/7 operational environment.

A day in the life

  • Work onsite at a designated location.
  • Assist with daily scheduling of deliveries and pickups.
  • Follow safety and security protocols.
  • Help load and unload shipments.
  • Work around moving mechanical parts.
  • Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Perform manual handling and lifting within regulated weight limits.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle objects, reach, and maintain balance while positioning equipment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
