Data & AI - Data Engineer (7252-1)

Data Engineer in the context of Data & AI typically plays a critical role in designing, developing, and managing the systems and infrastructure that enable organizations to collect, store, and analyze large amounts of data. The position involves building scalable and efficient data pipelines, ensuring data is accessible, and collaborating with data scientists and analysts to ensure the right data is available for analysis and machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities

1. Utilize technical data analysis skills to assess and evaluate data quality effectively.
2. Possess in-depth knowledge of data classification technologies, data monitoring, and quality assessment practices.
3. Develop and execute scripts using tools such as SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyze data, apply data quality rules, tabulate results, and monitor data periodically. Generate reports to highlight data quality issues.
4. Identify data quality issues raised by users, document them in approved templates, and ensure they are addressed per established procedures and data quality SLAs.
5. Perform root cause analysis of data quality issues, distinguishing between technical and procedural factors, and assess their risks, consequences, and impacts.
6. Evaluate the feasibility of addressing data quality issues and propose solutions, including temporary remediation measures, prioritizing them based on impact.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to create detailed remediation plans for data quality issues, ensuring the solutions align with root cause analysis and feasibility studies, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
8. Manage reference data and master data effectively, ensuring proper classification and quality management.
9. Leverage tools and technologies to classify and assess data quality, ensuring comprehensive understanding of data structure, content, and quality.
10. Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explain data quality issues and present actionable recommendations.
11. Display strong attention to detail when identifying and addressing data quality issues in a timely manner.
12. Document data quality rules, standards, and processes to maintain consistency across the organization.

Skills

Education: Bachelors degree in IT or Related Field

Experience: 3+

Nationality: Arabic Speaker

Skills: SQL and experienced with data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI.

Preferred: Proficient in Informatica IDQ
