Job description

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Design, implement, and maintain databases to meet business requirements.
  2. Perform database administration tasks, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security management.
  3. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and upgrades.
  4. Troubleshoot database issues, including performance problems and data corruption.
  5. Ensure database security, including access control, authentication, and encryption.
  6. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability.
  7. Monitor and optimize database performance, including query optimization and indexing.
  8. Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure database requirements are met.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database design, implementation, and maintenance.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including data privacy and security standards.

Requirements :

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in database administration, preferably with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL.
  3. Certifications : Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDA) certification.
  4. Skills :
  5. Strong knowledge of database design, implementation, and maintenance.
  6. Experience with database performance tuning, security, and backup and recovery.
  7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
