Job description

Job Objective:

Conduct regular checks on technology related activities to ensure their compliance with the set cybersecurity processes, policies and procedures, and assist in the assessment, identification of cybersecurity risks, and the development of appropriate mitigation plans to address all identified risks.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Work hand in hand with the technology strategy teams to better understand business needs that would require developing network and infrastructure solutions.
2. Develop, implement, and test multiple infrastructure components (Firewall, WAF, servers, routers, switches, etc.) according to detailed design specifications.
3. Work closely with application development teams to forecast infrastructure needs and capacity planning.
4. Contribute to the development of business continuity plan, disaster recovery plan, and risk items.
5. Configure routing and switching equipment, IP voice services and firewalls.
6. Support and administer firewall environments in line with Cybersecurity policy and procedures.
7. Monitor network performance and integrity.
8. Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery).
9. Communicate with users when needed.
10. Maintain complete technical documentation.
11. Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
12. Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.
13. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
14. Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures.
15. Respond to security incidents and breaches, coordinating investigations and remediation efforts.
16. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and updates.
17. Provide training and awareness programs for employees on security best practices.
18. Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
19. Assist in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in cyber security roles, with a strong understanding of security protocols and tools.
3. Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
4. Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
7. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
8. Minimum of 0-4 years of experience in a similar role or function.
