Job Summary:

The Cybersecurity Consultant is responsible for providing technical and advisory support to internal teams or external clients to ensure the protection of systems and information from cyber threats. Responsibilities include conducting security assessments, developing policies and procedures, and offering expert guidance based on global standards and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, NCA ECC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Develop cybersecurity policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and international standards.
  • Provide technical consultations on security controls, risk management, and incident response.
  • Participate in the design and review of secure solutions within technical projects.
  • Evaluate and improve existing security infrastructure by recommending enhancements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with security controls.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and management.
  • Monitor emerging cyber threats and suggest preventive measures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information security.
  • Good knowledge of frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT.
  • Experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, access control systems).
  • Strong skills in risk analysis and conducting security evaluations.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and application security.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker
  • CompTIA Security+
  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor
  • CISSP (Associate) or GSEC or equivalent

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Analytical thinking and decision-making in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills across departments.
