We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Customer Solution Engineering (CSE) Design Engineer who provides technical expertise to the sales team, translating customer requirements into optimal KONE solutions. As part of the early engagement team, the CSE Design Engineer ensures that tender layouts and specifications are integrated into the customer's building specifications. Responsibilities include analyzing customer drawings, preparing 2D and 3D shop drawings for approval, and initiating manufacturing orders. The engineer also ensures final drawings align with customer IFC and SL layout drawings.

Customer Responsibilities:
  • Read and sort customer drawings, raising RFIs for conflicts with other KONE commitments.
  • Create layout drawings in 2D or 3D, ensuring compliance with document control procedures and KONE standards.
Collaboration with Sales:
  • Find optimal technical solutions to meet customer needs, including non-standard solutions.
  • Clarify scope, including KONE and third-party offerings.
  • Participate in customer meetings and address technical questions.
  • Select appropriate product platforms and propose solutions across all KONE business lines.
General Responsibilities:
  • Participate in product and service release sessions.
  • Provide technical training to Sales, Installation, and Maintenance teams.
  • Contribute to product offering management regarding customization and interface requirements.
  • Engage with the Customer Solutions Engineering network.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the elevator industry or relevant field.
  • Excellent English and Arabic communication skills.
  • Strong customer handling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of building types, customer segments, environmental norms.
  • Proficiency in engineering tools like CAD, Revit 2022, BIM360.
  • Knowledge of competitors’ products and local norms/regulations.
