Your day at NTT DATA

The Cross Technology Technical Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for specifying and designing solutions based on their technical expertise across one or more technology domains.

This role takes responsibility for the successful overall technical design and build of the custom elements of the solution to meet a client's business requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Have solid professional experience architecting technical systems and solutions within a large-scale technology services environment.
• Work closely with the solution and services teams for end-to-end delivery of the project.
• Demonstrate deep technical domain expertise with a broad product knowledge base and understanding of vendors' technology offerings and positioning (main vendors Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5, Aruba, Dell, HP, Nutanix, VMWare NSX).
• Design network topologies, including spine-leaf architecture, multi-tier, and software-defined networking (SDN).
• Design and implementation of Classic and VXLAN EVPN fabrics with multiple vendors.
• Design security technologies, including NGFW, SASE-based solutions, SIEM, Firewall Management systems, NAC solutions.
• Design and implement Load Balancers including web proxies and WAF.
• In-depth expertise in F5, Zscaler, Netscaler products.
• Design cloud-based solutions, including Azure, AWS, Private clouds.
• Design infrastructure technologies, including Compute, Converged & Hyper-converged, Storage, Data Protection.
• Design and implement services-based solutions including NaaS, PaaS, BaaS, IaaS.
• Design and implement wireless solutions including understanding of RF surveys.
• Present key solutions to strategic clients onsite and virtually.
• Can comfortably engage enterprise clients and clearly articulate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
• Confident, self-motivated technical expert who can work independently.
• Works with wider NTT business and technical teams to ensure end-to-end service delivery and integration with existing processes.
• Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts and other internal stakeholders.
• As a senior member of the technical team, provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring.
• Have relevant network vendor and industry certifications (CCIE must).

Knowledge and Attributes:

• Demonstrate seasoned product knowledge integrated with seasoned technology understanding.
• Seasoned understanding of the vendors' products, business and technology positioning.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written coupled with the ability to establish and create excellent client relationships with their technical expertise.
• Ability to develop and leverage their seasoned knowledge of reference architectures.
• Ability to maintain knowledge of trends and developments in technology domains.
• Seasoned knowledge in core frameworks used.
• Seasoned knowledge of the problem domain that their systems are to provide solutions for.
• Strong proficiency with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, UCS, and security appliances.
• Strong proficiency with Dell, HP, Nutanix Data Center Technologies.
• Proficiency with Data Protection solutions, vendor-based or customized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication including proficiency in presentation.
• In-depth knowledge of SDN technologies (Cisco ACI, Nexus Dashboard, VMware NSX) and virtualization.
• In-depth knowledge and skills in designing and implementing in VMware NSX federation across multi-sites.
• Proficient in network security products and tools (firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto), VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC).
• F5 Load Balancer, including LTM, ASM, APM, GTM, and Big IQ.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network services (DHCP, DNS, IPAM).

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification strongly desired.
• Fortinet NSE-7.
• SDN Data Center Virtualization (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX).
• Network Virtualization Architect.
• F5 Certification (101/201).
• Cisco SD-WAN, SD-Access, ACI, Nexus Dashboard.
• NAC (Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Aruba Clearpass).
• Firewalls and security Vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).

Required Experience:

• 12+ years of proven experience in network design and security within large-scale data centers and IT industry.
• Seasoned track record as an implementor and architect of new systems/solutions.
• Seasoned work experience working as a systems integrator or network engineer.
• Seasoned client engagement and development consulting experience.
• Seasoned experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints.
• Seasoned experience in a variety of architectures for specific domain or specialization.
• Seasoned experienced designer and development know-how.
• Seasoned project management experience ensuring timely delivery of client solutions.
• Experience presenting technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
