Purpose of Job
Jobholders at this level are responsible for leading work activities and working autonomously with minor direction towards predetermined long-term objectives. Jobholders oversee the implementation of operational plans and the provision of significant improvements to set policies, procedures, standards and reports. Their main operational role includes assisting development of crisis management plan, communicating with all functions to install coordination mechanisms, supervise implementation plan, recommending needed improvement actions and advising on topics for awareness and training session to ensure solid understanding of employees.
Job Responsibilities
Crisis Management Planning
- Collect and gather organizational crisis management risks and conduct accordingly business impact analysis and risk assessment to form a clear picture on ZATCA’s current state highlighting threats and setting priorities
- Conduct research and benchmark studies to identify latest trends and best practices applicable within ZATCA to managed faced crisis
- Develop crisis management plan, set frameworks and related guidelines coordinating with Planning and Monitoring function to ensure alignment with Enterprise Risk Management strategy
- Prepare and communicate incident management handbooks and manual including incident management processes with related internal stakeholders ensuring solid understanding to assist effectively emergency management
- Install coordination mechanisms with all functions to keep track of detected incidents and ensure proper handling of events
Crisis Management
- Manage crisis management plan implementation to highlight and evaluate organizational risks identifying gaps that could potentially disrupt business operation and jeopardize business continuity and crisis management strategy
- Conduct on a periodic basis test on crisis management plan implementation and perform business impact analysis across ZATCA’s functions to safeguard readiness in facing disruptions
- Prepare needed awareness and training sessions for crisis management to ensure solid understanding of related stakeholders and improve functions’ risk capabilities
- Perform periodical audits to maintain ISO 22301 certification specifying needed requirements to implement, maintain and improve crisis management system
Organization and Operations
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
- Perform other duties as requested
People Management
- Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff
- Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes

Communication and Contacs
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or equivalent is required
- Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management, Business Administration or equivalent is preferred
Experience
An optimal of 8 years of relevant experience, with a preferred 3 years of experience in managerial level
