Job description

About the Company

Riyadh Air (RX), headquartered in the Saudi Capital, is the new national airline that’s shaping the future of flying. It seeks to lead the aviation industry by transforming Saudi Arabia into a global aviation and trade hub – a digitally native airline that will connect the kingdom to more than 100 destinations.

About the Role

As a Crew Duty Controller, you will play an important role in supervising and managing worldwide operational activities for all Flight and Cabin crew, ensuring the seamless management of crew resources, and supporting safe, efficient, and cost-effective airline operations. Working within the Operations Control Center (OCC) and Crew Operations Center in a dynamic 24/7 environment, you will oversee crew rosters, regulatory compliance, and crew readiness, manage flight and crew-specific incidents, and ensure qualifications and certifications are maintained. You will align crew operations with broader business objectives while handling critical incidents and operational disruptions.

Your role will involve proactive decision-making, effective communication with stakeholders, and representing senior leadership in coordinating with internal teams, external service providers, and authorities. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department and contribute to strategic projects that enhance operational efficiency and crew welfare.

As a Crew Duty Controller, you will:

  • Monitor and manage crew rosters, ensuring full compliance with flight duty time limitations (FDTL), fatigue risk management, and aviation regulations (GACA, IATA, ICAO).

  • Lead the response to operational disruptions, including flight delays, cancellations, emergencies, and re-routing, while maintaining crew readiness and welfare.

  • Act as a point of contact for crew, senior management, and key stakeholders—communicating changes, resolving incidents, and providing critical input for crew deployment decisions.

  • Collaborate with airport operations, OCC, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless crew coordination.

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing shift performance and suggesting solutions to enhance efficiency and crew satisfaction.
