Job summary

Mammoet is seeking a Crane Technician (Mechanic) with extensive experience in Heavy Lift and Transportation to support operations in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The role involves maintenance, inspection, and repair on diverse mechanical systems and power transmission equipment, with emphasis on safety and high-quality workmanship.

The successful candidate will manage new-build activities as required and bring strong communication skills to coordinate with site teams.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in Heavy lifting and Transportation environment.
• Safety training and certification are required.
• Mechanical or automotive engineering background is needed.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the condition of equipment is in line with applicable standards and instructions.
• Performing all-round maintenance and repair services.
• Carrying out high-quality work including inspection, prevention, renovation and modification.
• Completing new-build projects when required.
• Working on mechanical (auxiliary) equipment related to various power transmission systems.
• Preparing and sequencing maintenance with needed tools and spare parts.
• Upholding safety requirements and standards including health, sustainability, and social wellbeing.
• Following maintenance standards and procedures from manuals and work orders.
• Handling driver and control systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronics systems.
• SMPT experience is a plus.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensuring the condition of equipment is in line with the applicable standards and instructions
• Performing all-round maintenance and repair services
• Carrying out work to a high quality, including inspection, prevention, renovation and modification
• Completing new-build projects when required
• Working on different types of mechanical (auxiliary) equipment related to diverse power transmission systems
• Prepare & sequence maintenance to be carried out, checking required tools and spare parts
• Safety requirements & standards incl. Health, Sustainability and Social wellbeing requirement
• Maintenance standards & procedures - Equipment manuals, technical schemes, manufacturer manual and work order
• Driver & Control system, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electronics system
• SMPT (Self-Propelled Modular Transporter) experience is a plus
