Job summary

A leading company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Crane Technician responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance on overhead cranes. Ideal candidates will possess a diploma or ITI in electronics and extensive experience in industrial maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Crane Technician or equivalent.
• Ability to read electrical and electronic scheme drawings.
• Good communication skills in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance for cranes.
• Identify breakdowns and determine maintenance needs.

Job description

• Carries out the scheduled Planned Preventive and Corrective Maintenance works to minimize the production crane downtime and ensure safe working conditions.
• Identifies the nature of breakdown/problem and determines the appropriate maintenance needed and equipment selection.
• Keeps the Maintenance Engineer informed of work progress or constraints and gives immediate feedback and other relevant information to work scheduler.
• Ensures that all work orders are properly filled out with spare parts used accountable and forwards the same for attention of work controller.
• Provides assistance to other electricians as required.
• Liaises with Maintenance Engineer for work schedules and assignments and daily reviews of ongoing current assignments.
• Completes spare part request form for all items needed and submits to storekeeper prior to removal from store.
• Liaises with other maintenance crews to provide service and support requirements that may be needed internally.
• Practices properly the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, face masks and the like while inside the shop-floor.
• Checks and ensures safe surroundings and acts on any unsafe activity seen.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years working experience as Crane Technician or any equivalent industrial maintenance post in overhead crane and JIB crane.
• Diploma or ITI Certificate in any Electronics or its equivalent.
• Ability to identify problems and determine appropriate maintenance and equipment selection.
• Understanding of electrical and electronic scheme drawings.
• Proficiency in computer applications is preferred.
• Good communication skills in English and Arabic languages.
