Job description

This is a full-time on-site role for Crane Mechanic for our esteemed client in Saudi Arabia. The Crane Mechanics primary role will be to provide labour and expertise in mechanical systems to preserve port machinery key assets (STS & RTG) reliability and availability, executing maintenance tasks efficiently and timely, working with the highest safety standards, making optimal use of the tools, parts and consumables assigned for work order execution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Report to Engineering Shift Leader, performing all assigned works regarding mechanical inspections, adjustments, parts assembly, repair works and lubrication in mechanical systems installed in key port assets.
  • Perform all works with the highest safety standards. Take active part in a safety-oriented culture. Exert and support stop work authority. Cooperate with HSSE on risk assessment evaluations and safe work permit forms completion.
  • Provide accurate feedback to assigned work orders in CMMS platform, detailing works carried out, materials consumed and relevant status updates for serviced equipment.
  • Accountable for good use of tools, spare parts and consumables destined for maintenance or repair works. Responsible for returning any parts or materials that are not used during work execution.
  • Participate in technical assessment evaluations and internal training events scheduled for the area. Work on building a knowledge base to comply with the expected assessment performance score range.
  • Be actively involved in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions, providing ground-level information and technical expertise to assess equipment breakdown events properly. Execute assigned corrective actions for complete defect elimination.
  • Align with and support management strategies, collaborating with peers towards corporate goals.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/heavy machinery industry mechanical equipment maintenance works. Proven experience of working with work order assignment systems. Port machinery equipment maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Experience in Safety-oriented culture organizations. Knowledge on use of risk assessment forms. Knowledge of industry fatal risks. Experience of working with safe work permits.
  • Industrial Mechanics certified technician, Mechatronics technician. • Training on mechanical systems maintenance such as gearboxes, reducers, screw conveyors, rolling machines, mills, mining drills, reeling equipment, and similar heavy machinery. Specific training in heavy lifting equipment or cranes is a plus.
  • Training on hydraulic systems maintenance and troubleshooting. • Training on lubrication techniques and optimization practices.
  • Training on use for workshop tools, such as bench drill, milling machine, lathe, bench press, overhead crane, and floor hydraulic press.
  • Certified Welder (CW) or Certified Resistance Welding Technician (CRWT).
  • Training on predictive maintenance methods such as Ultrasound and Vibration inspections is a plus.

Salary : SAR 6000 - SAR 8000 + Food + Accommodation + Transportation
