Assist in the development, maintenance, and control of the project budget, ensuring alignment with baseline cost estimates.
Monitor and analyze cost performance, identify variances, and support corrective action planning.
Track commitments, expenditures, accruals, and changes to ensure accurate cost reporting.
Work closely with planning, procurement, contracts, and construction teams to collect and validate cost data.
Support monthly cost reporting cycles, including preparation of earned value reports (EVR) and cost forecasts.
Maintain and update the project cost database and perform trend analysis to detect potential overruns.
Provide support in the preparation of change management documentation, including cost impact assessments.
Ensure accurate commitment registers, invoice tracking, and payment logs are maintained.
Prepare and support internal and client cost audits, and assist with project close-out and final cost reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with company and client cost control procedures, policies, and reporting standards.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
Cost control experience on large-scale construction or mining projects.
Strong knowledge of cost engineering principles, project accounting, and forecasting techniques.
Proficient in cost control software and tools such as EcoSys, SAP, Prism, Aconex, or similar systems.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; ability to work with large datasets.
Understanding of project execution lifecycle, contract types (EPC, EPCM), and construction work packages.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact with multidisciplinary teams and site personnel.
Experience working in remote, site-based roles and able to adapt to dynamic project conditions.
