Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, maintenance, and control of the project budget, ensuring alignment with baseline cost estimates.

  
  

• Monitor and analyze cost performance, identify variances, and support corrective action planning.

  
  

• Track commitments, expenditures, accruals, and changes to ensure accurate cost reporting.

  
  

• Work closely with planning, procurement, contracts, and construction teams to collect and validate cost data.

  
  

• Support monthly cost reporting cycles, including preparation of earned value reports (EVR) and cost forecasts.

  
  

• Maintain and update the project cost database and perform trend analysis to detect potential overruns.

  
  

• Provide support in the preparation of change management documentation, including cost impact assessments.

  
  

• Ensure accurate commitment registers, invoice tracking, and payment logs are maintained.

  
  

• Prepare and support internal and client cost audits, and assist with project close-out and final cost reconciliation.

  
  

• Ensure compliance with company and client cost control procedures, policies, and reporting standards.

  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.

  
  

• Cost control experience on large-scale construction or mining projects.

  
  

• Strong knowledge of cost engineering principles, project accounting, and forecasting techniques.

  
  

• Proficient in cost control software and tools such as EcoSys, SAP, Prism, Aconex, or similar systems.

  
  

• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; ability to work with large datasets.

  
  

• Understanding of project execution lifecycle, contract types (EPC, EPCM), and construction work packages.

  
  

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact with multidisciplinary teams and site personnel.

  
  

• Experience working in remote, site-based roles and able to adapt to dynamic project conditions.
