Responsibilities :

• Preparation of initial Order of Cost Estimate to establish project budget.
• Development of the initial cost estimate at concept stage to produce a Concept Design estimate.
• Prepare Preliminary Cost estimate in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
• Prepare tender bill of quantities and associated pricing documents for inclusion in tender documentation.
• Prepare Pre-Tender Estimate of the works.
• Carry out tender evaluation and prepare tender reports.
• Review of Bonds and Insurances as submitted by the Contractor.
• Check contractor’s application and prepare interim payment certificates.
• Check and agree with a recommendation for payment, the contractor’s final account.
• Evaluate proposed variations to contract with respect to financial impact on the contract.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Prepare regular cost reports as required.
• Liaise between contractor and other consultants to ensure timely delivery of service.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 5+ years post qualification experience.
• 3 years experience working on civil engineering / building projects, with at least 1 year in the Middle East.
• Familiarity with FIDIC forms of contracts.
• Outstanding communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Proactive team player capable of working independently and on own initiative.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
