Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Cost Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our organization's financial resources, ensuring efficient cost management across all departments.


  1. Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures to monitor expenses and identify areas for improvement
  2. Analyze financial data, prepare detailed cost reports, and provide insights to management for decision-making
  3. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to maintain accurate stock levels
  4. Monitor and report on budget variances, recommending corrective actions when necessary
  5. Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations
  7. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
  10. Participate in forecasting and long-term financial planning processes
  11. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects or investments
  12. Provide training and guidance to staff on cost control procedures and best practices

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Diploma in a relevant field may be considered with extensive experience)
  2. Proven experience in cost control, financial management, or a similar role
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial analysis
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  5. Experience with financial management software and inventory systems (e.g., Futurelog, Opera)
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  8. Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
  9. Effective oral and written communication skills
  10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  11. Familiarity with Saudi Arabian financial regulations and practices (preferred)
  12. Professional certification such as CMA or CIMA (preferred)
