Job description

SETS is on the look for a Cost Control Engineer to join its Monitoring Department in Madinah. The jobholder reports to the Cost Control and Estimation Department Head.

Responsibilities:
  • Estimating project timelines and deadlines, preparing schedules using the relevant software and applications, and defining scheduled tasks, execution periods, and available resources.
  • Developing and implementing an integrated project plan, controlling changes, accurately defining the project scope in terms of items and times, and identifying the technical aspects of work execution.
  • Preparing specialized engineering documents and reports, presenting and explaining them, and saving them in the database according to approved policies and procedures.
  • Managing the cost and required resources for project completion, including planning and managing human, material, and equipment resources, estimating expected costs with cost engineers and relevant execution engineers, and monitoring expenditures.
  • Managing, controlling, and reviewing costs for engineering disciplines, including cost estimation, control, and reporting systems, as well as financial reporting and cost analysis.
  • Managing engineering operations related to procurement, contracts, execution, and operation.
  • Evaluating and tracking actual costs against the budget periodically to ensure alignment with the pre-estimated costs in the project execution plan, and reporting any deviations for review and correction.
  • Preparing cost data, expenses, reports, and other necessary documents regularly for sharing with stakeholders and project participants.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in cost control for similar projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited University.
  • PMP from PMI (Mandatory).
  • CAPM from PMI.
  • PRINCE2 from Axelos.
  • PMI-CP (Construction Project Management).
  • Certified Business Professional in Project Management (CBP).
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE).
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP) from AACE.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
