Responsibilities
You will be responsible for overseeing and controlling the budgetary aspects of our data center projects, ensuring financial efficiency and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires a strong background in cost management, financial analysis, and project coordination within the data center or similar technology-driven environments.
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for data center projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation and adherence to financial constraints.
- Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to track project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive cost estimates for data center construction, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Analyze historical data and industry trends to provide accurate and reliable cost projections.
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure favorable terms and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any financial discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Implement cost control measures and procedures to minimize financial risks and optimize resource utilization.
- Identify and address potential cost overruns or inefficiencies, collaborating with project teams to implement corrective actions.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, PMP) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Cost Manager, Financial Analyst, or similar role, preferably within the data center or technology sector.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis principles.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
