WHAT IS YOUR CHALLENGE?
We are seeking a Corrosion Engineer to work with our Metallurgical Engineering Group under our Materials Consulting Services Department (MCSD)
Materials Consulting Services Department is responsible for providing the company with technical evaluation to all existing operating facilities and new projects such as Liquid-to-Chemicals (LTC) and Joint Venture (JV) projects. As well as provide material engineering, and corrosion operation support.
As a Corrosion Engineer you will support upstream operating facilities and capital projects on developing, reviewing and providing consultation on various Corrosion Management Program. You will utilize your strong technical capabilities and extensive experience with corrosion and materials selection in upstream oil and gas facilities (including onshore and offshore pipelines) to provide expert advice and assistance on matters pertaining to corrosion and scaling prediction, corrosion mitigation and monitoring, hydrotesting and equipment preservation.

RESPONSABILITIES
As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Identify potential damage mechanisms (DMs) that are applicable to all the equipment and piping in the corrosion loop.
Define corrosion monitoring requirements including conventional intrusive and non-intrusive technologies and process monitoring through sampling program and online analyzers
Develop cost effective corrosion mitigation strategies based proper material selection, feasible chemical treatment & process control, applicable protective coating & cathodic protection
Apply qualitative risk assessment based on likelihood of potential damage mechanisms and consequences.
Identify controllable corrosion related parameters and operating windows to control corrosion
Review flow assurance studies to identify contributing parameters in flow related damage mechanisms such us top of line corrosion, under deposit corrosion, bottom of the line corrosion
Implement corrosion prediction through utilization of commercial models/software and able to distinguish strength and weaknesses for different software.
Develop corrosion control plan for equipment during delivery, storage and construction and commissioning including hydrostatic testing, lay-up, preservation and start up.
Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving services and develop technically innovative process solutions with appropriate risk consideration.
Participate in the development and updates engineering standards and design best practices, to enhance company profitability, safety and productivity.
Evaluate and introduce best practice and emerging technologies to help the company achieve best in class positions in the upstream oil and gas production and processing.
Promote a learning environment and implement self-development to maintain and improve expert status in highly specialized technical and general engineering fields.
Actively participate in developing/educating young Saudi Arab engineers and promoting corrosion engineering.
Act as a professional mentor to developing specialists and engineers.

THE STAGES OF THIS PROCESS ARE:

2. Interviews stage
2.1 LHR Americas preliminary phone/video interview: A member of the Talent Acquisition team from LHR Americas will first schedule a call with you to discuss the details of the position, your interests, and qualifications. Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage, ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation.
If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful your resume will be submitted to our client.
If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you.
2.2 Client phone/video interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our Client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week.
If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team from our client will schedule a call with you to evaluate your qualifications.
The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions.
If your phone interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, and they will invite you to a video interview when hiring managers are available.
If your resume is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you.
2.3 Video interviews with hiring managers: which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field.
3. Conditional Offer
A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment.
Conditions for employment include but are not limited to: medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
4. Relocation process
After your offer is accepted and all conditions for employment are met, you will be assigned a relocation advisor from LHR Americas. This advisor is your go-to resource for the transition, providing helpful advice on everything from when to give notice to your current employer to visa services.
