Job description

We are looking for a high caliber Executive Chauffeur to join our Riyadh office, to safely transport the Senior Country Officer, local and global executives in a comfortable and timely manner, in accordance with the governing road and traffic laws. Being able to provide a great customer journey experience is a key requirement. Flexibility on providing ad hoc support within the office or to collect/deliver packages may also be expected, as well as overtime outside of core working hours and on weekends.

As an Executive Chauffeur, your role is to provide an excellent level of service to an elite group of senior personnel who are based in or visit Saudi Arabia. You will be expected to safely transport passengers to and from destinations, maintain the car in an immaculate condition, fuelled/charged and provisioned (e.g., water), conducting routine safety checks and arranging periodic and required maintenance, as per standard operating procedures. Reporting to a direct manager outside of the location, the Chauffeur will take instruction from a local manager and maintain contact with a designated person for booking schedule updates. The chauffeur will be expected to perform periodic routine vehicle checks and maintain roadworthiness and cleanliness of the vehicle. A log of passengers/trips must be maintained and any expenses incurred accounted for with receipts (tolls/parking/fuel).

Job responsibilities

  • Comply with the Company Use Car Firmwide Standard, global and regional standard operating procedures and safety guidelines, including reporting of accidents, injuries and vehicle damage.
  • Conduct vehicle checks for safety and roadworthiness, and arrange vehicle repairs/service.
  • Transport employees/passengers safely as well as various packages to and from specified locations in a timely manner, adjusting routes to avoid traffic congestion or road works.
  • Maintain an organized travel schedule, check in with the office on a regular basis throughout the day, and advise the office of any delays or changes.
  • Keep the company vehicle immaculately clean, properly maintained, and ensure vehicles have sufficient fuel and are ready for use.
  • Work at night and on weekends when required.
  • Assist with the loading and offloading of employee/passenger luggage, products, and materials.
  • Ensure that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing or penalties. Promptly inform the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
  • Complete administration relating to passenger logs, expenses, and overtime records, and maintain monthly mileage records and daily log of passengers.
  • Regularly log into the firm’s network to complete mandatory training.
  • Support the Office team with ad hoc tasks when not driving.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Intermediate written and spoken English and fluency in the local language.
  • Min 5 years Executive driver experience, ideally with advanced driving experience.
  • Valid Driving license and ability to demonstrate safe driving tactics and road-conscious skills.
  • Fitness in sight/vision and health as per recommendations by the road and traffic governing body.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating patience and flexibility in approach.
  • Presentable and tidy appearance.
  • Punctuality.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  • Geographical local knowledge, knowing the roads and routes in relevant areas. Ability to use GPS systems.
  • Proof of acceptable vision from a registered optical practitioner. Medical certificate of fitness may be required in some countries.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • An advanced driving certificate from an accredited Institute of advanced driving is a benefit but not a necessity.
  • First Aid Level 1 certificate may be required in some countries.
  • Standard Matric/High School certificate.
