Job description

Overview:

The Core Infrastructure Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day performance and integrity of ADC’s 4G/5G core infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of mobile services across commercial and mission-critical domains. This role leads the operational governance of core platforms (EPC, IMS, 5GC), balancing stability with scalability and compliance. As the bridge between engineering, NOC, and vendor teams, the manager plays a central role in sustaining service quality, accelerating deployments, and ensuring continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of core network elements (EPC, IMS, PCRF, 5GC) ensuring uptime, performance, and SLA compliance.
  • Lead fault management and incident response processes, coordinating with NOC, engineering, and vendors.
  • Manage routine software upgrades, patching, and capacity expansions in alignment with engineering and security guidelines.
  • Ensure seamless integration and interoperability across RAN, Transport, and external partner systems.
  • Monitor core network KPIs, implement optimization measures, and drive root cause analysis for chronic issues.
  • Maintain operational documentation including change records, network topologies, and configuration baselines.
  • Liaise with planning and deployment teams for new services and major network transformations.
  • Ensure compliance with national regulations, cybersecurity standards, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years in core network operations.
