About the job:

Kent is looking for a Control Room Operator and Senior Control Room Operator to be based in one of our Saudi Arabia Projects.

Job Overview:

The ASU-CRO, reporting to the ASU Shift Supervisor, is accountable for the day-to-day operation of the six-train ASU facility, ensuring the production requirements are achieved safely and efficiently.

The Operator will execute daily tasks including preparing and implementing safety work permits, LOTO, completing preventative maintenance activities, and assisting maintenance and engineering teams in corrective maintenance activities.

Requirement: Saudi nationals with ASU experience are essential.

Shift Pattern: 4x4 (12-hour shifts per working day)

Control Room Operator Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate the units as prescribed by the Work Instruction Procedures.
• Provide operational support & guidance during plant commissioning. Maintain accurate document control and monitor quality assurance initiatives.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, and controls.
• Manage plant production efficiently based on input from Plant Management and Plant Process Engineering to meet safety and reliability targets for maximum profitability.
• Report shift production progress and plant status to the Shift Supervisor, providing operational solutions for shortfalls.
• Provide technical support & guidance during startup/shutdown procedures.
• Assist in maintaining document control and quality assurance.
• Train Senior Operators, Engineers, and Supervisors within the control system for operational continuity.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and participate as the technical lead for Root Cause Investigations.
• Monitor plant production daily, driving asset performance and ensuring targets are met for maximum profitability.
• Ensure safety of personnel by utilizing the JIGPC Safety program, including Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space protocols, etc.
• Support safety initiatives such as MOCs to drive process safety compliance.
• Operate the facility ensuring Environmental and Regulatory requirements are not exceeded.
• Meet JIGPC standards and global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and customer service.
• Engage in plant operations, DCS, and field activities to meet safety, reliability, and quality standards while fulfilling contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to monitor and evaluate plant systems & equipment.
• Support maintenance activities to optimize plant reliability and execute corrective actions.
• Participate in investigations and Root Cause Analysis to implement sustainable solutions.
• Drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate plant activities across shifts to ensure operational continuity.
• Provide leadership in troubleshooting, plant efficiency, process safety, and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Support plant turnarounds with engineering support.
• Perform other duties as assigned in a timely manner.
