Contracts Engineer - Saudi Arabia

The Company

A construction company provides general contracting services for building construction, renovations, and infrastructure. It has diversified its project portfolio, spanning various sectors such as industrial, distribution, manufacturing, office, retail, recreational, healthcare, and commercial across the kingdom. Furthermore, it has recently joined a larger engineering services group, prioritizing value-added construction services, and has successfully completed over SR 3 billion worth of construction across 60 projects, emphasizing strong customer relationships and outstanding performance.

Work Location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia

Key Accountabilities
  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation and drafting to execution and closeout, ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate contract terms, pricing, and scope changes.
  • Identify potential contractual risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, protecting the interests of the company.
  • Monitor and administer contract performance, ensuring that all parties fulfill their obligations in accordance with the terms and conditions.
  • Review, negotiate, and manage contract change orders and variations while maintaining accurate records.
  • Evaluate and manage contract claims and disputes, facilitating resolution and minimizing potential delays or disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, project specifications, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare regular contract status reports and updates for project stakeholders and management.
  • Work closely with the cost control team to ensure that contract-related expenses align with project budgets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in contracts management within the construction industry.
  • Prior experience as a Contracts Administrator is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
  • Relevant experience working with Primavera software for Project Management.
