Job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Contract Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring all construction-related contracts are effectively administered, aligned with company standards, and compliant with all relevant legal and commercial frameworks.

Job Purpose:

To oversee the end-to-end administration of contracts for both Special and Regular projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, milestones, insurance, guarantees, and all related legalities.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Evaluation & Administration

  • Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of contracts including sales, purchasing, consulting, and subcontracts.
  • Ensure all contracts meet legal and commercial standards, including non-disclosure agreements and consortium arrangements.

Stakeholder Communication & Conflict Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters.
  • Advise project managers on contract clauses and assist in conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate responses with contracting parties and ensure alignment on contractual terms.

Training & Compliance Oversight

  • Provide training and guidance on contractual practices to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement standardized procedures for contract management.

Risk & Legal Coordination

  • Collaborate with legal advisors and risk management teams to address project risks and disputes.
  • Review claims, variations, and legal documentation to protect company interests.

Finance & Insurance Coordination

  • Work closely with finance and risk departments to ensure alignment on revenue recognition and insurance requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and milestones in line with financial compliance needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering (Civil preferred); certifications in Contracts or Law are a plus.
  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in contract management within construction.
  • Strong knowledge of contractual law, project costing, and insurance.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Primavera.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
