In this Contract Logistic Manager position

The successful candidate will:

• Contribute to develop logistics planning strategy in line with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies
• Lead and control distribution functions for one or more facilities, and participate in developing the strategic direction of warehousing, transportation, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and customer service levels
• Ensure development and implementation of plans, measures and budgets for delivering logistic services
• Draft plans and ensure delivery of projects and initiatives to provide fast, reliable, efficient and affordable transportation of goods from origin to destination
• Ensure smooth operations for logistics facilities and transport networks, including underlying IT systems for delivery and transport of all goods
• Evaluate cost-effective, efficient and reliable logistic solutions for distribution of materials and finished goods
• Contribute to planning, control and track critical material transportation, anticipate and resolve issues for the same
• Ensure selection of effective and cost-efficient transportation
• Propose alternatives and establish emergency plans when necessary
• Design and suggest adaptations to warehouse infrastructure and processes, and transportation network to meet customer needs and market requirements
• Ensure development and review consistent implementation of processes, systems and standards for logistics operations

Study issues, determine opportunities to introduce best practices for logistics operations focusing on increasing effectiveness, efficiency and cost control
