Job Purpose

To lead the preparation, organization, and management of contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, mitigating risks, and achieving the organization's objectives. The role also involves coordinating with internal departments and external entities to ensure the effective execution and maximization of contract value.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and manage all types of contracts.
  • Lead negotiation processes to ensure fair terms and minimize contractual risks.
  • Ensure that contracts comply with laws, internal policies, and client requirements.
  • Monitor the implementation and fulfillment of contract obligations on schedule.
  • Coordinate with legal, procurement, finance, and operations departments to align contract strategies with business goals.
  • Manage the contracts database, including renewals, amendments, and closures as needed.
  • Provide senior management with expert advice on contractual risks, rights, and obligations.
  • Prepare and submit periodic, comprehensive reports on contract status, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Support the development and improvement of internal contract management procedures and propose governance mechanisms.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing subcontracting, procurement, or commercial contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement systems, contracting regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • An engineering qualification is preferred due to the technical nature of many contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
