An established contractor seeks a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to manage Facilities Management and Maintenance contracts. The role involves overseeing contract claims, managing variations, and supporting project management with contractual correspondence. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in Quantity Surveying, with a preference for those trained in the UK.
• Required to join an established contractor working on Facilities Management / Maintenance contracts. The successful candidate will protect the Company commercially against claims from Sub-contractors, suppliers etc. • Ensure all revenue is claimed and all Variation Orders have been identified (and priced) and notices for such Variations have been issued. • Ensure a Variation register is prepared and updated • Advise if conditions change on site that requires insurances to be updated. • Assist the Project Manager in drafting all contractual letters, claims etc. • Monitors the contractual performance of the sub-contractor and advise on the issue of any necessary correspondence, claims or the likes in the event of failure of the sub-contractor.
• A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying • 8 + years experience in Quantity Surveying / contract administration • Experienced on FM, small works, maintenance contracts • Experience in the Middle East is not essential • Preference will give to those candidates that have trained or worked in the UK
