CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST

Job Description Summary
The Continuous Quality Improvement Specialist maintains and audits procedures, plans, systems, and conducts high-level analytics. This includes, but is not limited to: patient safety, accreditation activities, regulatory inspections, policies and procedures compliance, clinical and environmental risk management, and related data management. The goal is to ensure JHAH's optimal use of resources and the timely achievement of project timeframes related to continuous quality improvements.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Finalize reports that outline the levers driving productivity, timely processing, and areas of waste or inefficiencies for management review.
  2. Develop relationships with key stakeholders in internal and external business segments and utilize various quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA, Lean Sigma) to eliminate waste or inefficiencies.
  3. Communicate effectively with proponents and stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
  4. Recommend performance improvement projects aligned with the organization’s strategic goals and initiatives.
  5. Provide annual or periodic training and development on quality management concepts.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Quality, Clinical, Allied Health, Management, or other Healthcare-related disciplines.

Professional Certifications Required

  • Required: Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP), accreditation, or quality-related projects/experiences/certifications.

Years of Experience

Minimum 9 years of experience in business improvement, continuous quality initiatives, and/or project management, ideally in a healthcare setting.
